La Route des Grande Alpes
This route, officially known as D902, is a must see! It stretches from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea! Parts of this road have even been used in the Tour De France! The views are truly spectacular, from breath taking mountains to the sparkling sea, you will be sure to fall in love with the beauty of this area. There are plenty of places to stop along the way if you want to partake in activities such as watersports, hiking and biking or if you’re visiting in the winter, why not try your hand at skiing? This route is a total of 617km and starts in Thonon-les-Baines and ends in Menton.
This 1,300 km route has so much to offer, with impressive sightseeing, nature, the waterfalls Gullfoss and Seljalandsfoss and the capital city – Reykjavik. In certain months around the solstice, mainly along the rural sections of the route, you might even get to see the colourful Northern Lights lighting up the sky.

The fastest way to get to Greece is to drive to Italy and get a ferry across the Adriatic to Igoumenitsa or Patras.
